Microsoft designs, releases and introduces several exclusive families of graphical operating systems known as Windows (also referred to as Windows or Win). For a certain segment of the computing industry, each family fulfills the need of users. This provides a way to save documents, run applications, play games, watch videos, watch Netflix and connect to the Internet. On November 10, 1983, Microsoft released the Windows version 1.0 for the first time, after that, multiple versions of Windows were released every few years, including the latest version Windows 10 released on July 29th, 2015. Microsoft Windows is an OS community produced by Microsoft providing a graphical user interface (GUI), multitasking functions, virtual memory management functions and support for many peripheral devices. This operating system exists in two builts: the 32-bit version and the 64-bit version depending on the PC. Windows can be moved, resized, hidden or maximized based on the needs of the user. Windows 10 is the latest version of the most commonly used Microsoft operating system in the world with technologies that are easy to use and that will help you concentrate and develop, from touch screen support to functionality, it also offers extensive antivirus, firewall, ransomware, and internet features. The most common PC gaming platform is offered by Windows OS and has a wide range of games available. Windows is built for everyone and can adapt to your needs and preferences, whether you have a disability, a personal taste, or a special work style. Windows OS contains features that enable you to be more innovative and productive, and is fundamentally quick, familiar, safe and stable. Windows contains many enhancements for the way you operate if you run a small business and want a better improved functionality. Windows has a much more powerful memory than that of Macs. It runs slowly on PCs with insufficient memory, but does not crash while Macs with insufficient memory are more likely to crash which means that less RAM is required on a computer running Windows to ensure its stability.

Why is Microsoft Windows named “Windows” ?

Microsoft users had used the MS-DOS single-task command line operating system before the release of Microsoft Windows. They wanted a word that better represents the new Interface operating system. And since Microsoft names most of its products with a single word, and since it offers multiple windows that allow various tasks and programs to run at the same time, Microsoft chose 'Windows' as a label. But generic names such as "Windows" cannot be trademarked, therefore, Microsoft decided to legally name its operating systems "Microsoft Windows". The first version of Microsoft Windows was launched in 1985.
